The Presales Engineer plays an important role in Wire’s Commercial Organization. As a Presales Engineer, you will support the sales process by providing in-depth technical expertise and guidance during customer engagements. Wire is developing some of the most advanced encrypted communications solutions that are available. Customers come to Wire to find secure and innovative solutions for protecting their most sensitive information. Therefore you will need to develop a deep understanding of Wire’s sales process, products and technologies so that you can help the Sales Team drive customer value and articulate the benefits of Wire’s product portfolio. You will overcome technical objections that may be presented as obstacles or challenges during the sales process, and convert these into business outcomes. This means that the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas is crucial to winning new business opportunities and helping Wire grow.
Wire offers both SaaS deployments for customers and on-premises deployments that include the entire client-server architecture. Wire‘s end-user applications span iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and a web-application. The Presales Engineer will help prospective customers understand the benefits of these deployment options and thus strengthen the value proposition of Wire’s product portfolio and lead to success in acquiring new customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Wire’s technical architecture and capabilities.
Support sales meetings with technical- and product expertise
Evaluate customer use cases for fit with Wire products and technologies
Lead complex technical discussions regarding Wire’s technology, security, features & functionality, and integrations.
Own the proof of value (POV) process, by recommending key success criteria and managing the key technical stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of RFPs and RFIs by providing technical insights and responses.
Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to address customer requirements and feedback.
Overcome technical objections from customers
Deliver Wire product demonstrations
Deliver Wire use case documentation to support the POV process.
Explain Wire’s On-premises deployment process and requirements
