How you can contribute

We’re looking for an Energy Analyst to support Reel’s commercial, supply, and trading work with strong analytical execution. The role is intended to add dedicated capacity on detailed analytical work, backtests/simulations, modeling, and supporting material.

This is an entry-level profile for someone who is strong analytically, comfortable working across technical and business tasks, and motivated by helping build a modern energy company.

What your role will look like

  • Support the team with detailed analytical work across commercial, supply, and trading topics

  • Build and maintain models, analysis, and decision-support material

  • Help structure and prepare reports, business cases, and presentation material

  • Support analysis related to trading strategies, simulations, and backtests

  • Work with team members on ad hoc analytical tasks and act as a strong execution partner on high-priority projects

  • Help create capacity for more senior colleagues by taking ownership of recurring analysis and preparation work

  • Contribute to market-related work, including areas connected to Germany and potentially other markets over time

  • Support cross-functional projects where analytical rigor and clear communication are needed


We think you will thrive in this role if you have/are

  • Academic background in something like Sustainable Energy or Renewable Energy Systems

  • A strong analytical profile

  • Comfortable with both technical and business-oriented work

  • Able to code, with Python being relevant for the role

  • Strong with Excel

  • Comfortable working with data, models, and structured analysis

  • Able to contribute to simulation and backtesting work

  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and business cases, and strong slide-making skills/AI-tech savy

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to help others move faster

  • Interested in energy markets and excited to work in a fast-moving environment
