Your Role
As an Accounting & Internal Audit Manager you’ll be part of our Finance & Legal Team, collaborating closely with our Head of Accounting. Although this role doesn’t involve direct reports, you’ll oversee daily accounting operations to ensure HGB compliance and improve month-end and year-end closing. Additionally, you’ll analyze internal controls, identify areas of risk, and offer recommendations to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Your Responsibilities

  • You oversee the accurate and timely completion of month-end closing activities.
  • You monitor and enforce compliance with financial regulations and policies, such as HGB and IFRS.
  • You create, manage, and maintain fiscal documentation to ensure precise recording of transactions.
  • You support senior members of the team in enhancing existing processes and workflows.
  • You would develop and sustain internal control protocols to uphold financial integrity.
  • You coordinate and actively contribute to both local and consolidated audits, along with annual tax submissions.
  • You rectify audit findings and implement corrective actions to rectify any discrepancies.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of Accounting experience, public accounting (Wirtschaftsprüfung) is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of HGB & IFRS, with good German Tax knowledge. SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and German.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Strategic thinker coupled with a proactive, results-driven approach, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
