Your Role
As Compound Operations Lead, you take full ownership of FINN’s physical location network. You ensure all FINN vehicles move seamlessly through every stage of the process — from inbound inspection and preparation, to appraisal, reconditioning, and outbound checks. You build trusted relationships with our compound partners while leading and developing your own team of compound managers focused on managing the day to day operations. This role sits at the intersection of operations and strategy, giving you the chance to shape how FINN scales its physical footprint and sets a new standard for compound operations.
Your Benefits
- With massive growth potential, FINN allows you to quickly develop and succeed in a highly motivating startup environment with ambitious challenges in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent fixed salary, significant virtual equity share of the company, along a yearly personal development budget of 3,000€.
- This role is based in Munich with flexibility to work (temporarily) remotely from anywhere within Germany or from home.
- Flexible working hours, a childcare allowance (€300 per child/month), and support in finding suitable childcare to help you balance work and family life.
- Access to discounted gym memberships and a range of attractive mobility benefits – from exclusive deals on FINN cars to other flexible commuting options.
Your Responsibilities
- You lead and scale FINN’s compound operations team, building a clear strategy and driving operational excellence across infleeting and defleeting processes.
- You establish performance management and key metrics, making sure every car is delivered on time while controlling core cost drivers.
- You drive cross-functional strategic initiatives that shape the future of FINN’s physical footprint and unlock the next wave of company growth.
- You build, mentor, and inspire a team of compound managers, creating an environment where bias for action and high operational standards thrive.
- You deepen our relationships with key stakeholders across our compound network, strengthening collaboration and ensuring FINN is always the top priority.
Your Profile
- You have 4+ years of experience in fast-paced, high-impact environments - whether in a startup, consulting, or operations-heavy role.
- Your background in business, engineering, logistics, or a related field has prepared you to tackle complex challenges. We value hands-on experience just as much as academic credentials.
- You're driven by impact with a strong sense of ownership and a constant desire to grow both personally and as a team.
- You’re an excellent communicator and know how to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- You think strategically and know how to build and scale efficient operations.
- You’re analytical, tech-savvy, and excited about using smart tools to automate and improve workflows.
- You speak German (C2) and English (C1+).
