About 3YOURMIND:
3YOURMIND supports public and private organizations to establish additive manufacturing capabilities. Beyond hardware delivery, training, and maintenance, the foundation of these systems is our software platform, refined through more than a decade of continuous development. By helping customers create a centralized digital inventory of qualified parts connected to decentralized production capabilities, our platform reduces costs, shortens lead times, and enables a more resilient and agile supply chain.
We believe in empowering our customers to embrace innovation without the overwhelm. With over 10 years of experience in manufacturing software, we are a trusted vendor committed to helping our customers succeed. Our core team is based in Berlin, but we work with employees across different countries, including the US. We are seeking like-minded, solution-oriented, and self-driven talents to join us.

Role Overview:

As Smart Factory Project Manager, you lead the non-software components of our end-to-end customer projects. You act as the central point of coordination between clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring smooth delivery of integrated smart factory solutions. While software is a core element of our offering, your focus is on orchestrating hardware, logistics, and operational setup in close cooperation with our software product managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project planning and execution: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion. Ensure project outcomes meet contractual, technical, and quality requirements.
  • Coordination and communication: Serve as primary contact for customers, external suppliers like machine manufacturers and internal stakeholders throughout the project. Facilitate clear communication of project goals, updates, risks, and changes across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Resource and time management: Manage procurement, delivery, installation, and commissioning of hardware and equipment. Solve logistical and operational challenges across multiple stakeholders and locations. Organize user trainings in cooperation with machine manufacturers and our customer success team.
  • Collaboration and relationship management: Coordinate closely with software product management and customer success to align hardware, processes, and software capabilities and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Risk and issue management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues, implement mitigation strategies, develop contingency plans, and escalate problems as needed to keep projects on track.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in end-to-end project management, ideally in additive manufacturing, industrial, or smart factory environments
  • Strong experience coordinating customers, suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams
  • Solid understanding of hardware-centric projects, logistics, and operational workflows while feeling comfortable working at the interface between physical systems and software-driven solutions
  • Ability to structure complex projects and solve practical, hands-on challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with additive manufacturing, automation, or Industry 4.0 projects
  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, or manufacturing software concepts
  • Experience working in international or multi-site project environments

What We Offer:

  • Ownership of complex, end-to-end smart factory projects with real-world impact
  • Working in a unique industrial field at the front line of innovation and progress
  • Close collaboration with a broad range of different stakeholders
  • A dynamic environment at the intersection of software, manufacturing, and logistics
  • A straightforward, friendly company culture with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths
  • High degree of responsibility and autonomy from day one
